Important - We live in Isabel Segunda, or Isabel II, or the Pueblo. There is also an Isabel in Puerto Rico served by the same 911 Call Center, so if you call 911, make sure they know you are in Isable Segunda or Isabel Il in Vieques.

Gas Shut-off Valve - At the tank under the upstairs kitchen window. Your key will unlock the gate.
Water Shut-Off Valve Up - To the right of the upstairs stairway door, below the hose bib. It is a round, blue knob.

Emergency Clinic Directions - Leave the house, drive to the end of the block, then turn right at the corner. Go two blocks and turn right at the Blue Bar. Continue southwest for a few more blocks and climb the big hill. You will cross Highway 200 at the bottom of the hill (the gas station will be to your left). After you cross Highway 200, go another third of a mile, take the first right, then take the first left. The Emergency Clinic is on the right-hand side of the street, almost at the end of the block.

Hurricane Plan - We are typically closed in August, September, and October for your safety.
In the event of an oncoming hurricane, please leave as soon as possible, before the storm hits! If you are still here, we will try to send help, but as we learned during Hurricane Maria, there will be no power, no credit or debit card use, no ATM access, no cell phone service, very little food, and few opportunities to leave Vieques or even Puerto Rico. The ferry service will close down several days before the storm, and commercial flights will be impossible to secure. Bottom line is this. You don't want to be here during a hurricane!
About the Hospital - Our old "hospital" was destroyed in 2017 during Hurricane Maria. Needless to say, it has been a long journey, and we are finally getting closer to having a "hospital." It won't be a full-service facility, and there will not be a maternity ward or delivery suite, but emergency services, radiology, and other basic medical care should be available, including dialysis. The new "hospital" will replace the current "clinic" and will be an improvement. We look forward to its arrival!
